May 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Santa Monica, CA - Stand-up comedian, Ray Grady is hosting a comedy show, FlatFoot Funnies, on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at The Shack Restaurant and Bar, located at 2518 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90408. The doors will open at 8:30pm and the show begins at 9:00pm. Ray will also be celebrating his birthday that night with his fans! Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5 and at the door for $10. To receive discount door admission, email your name and birthday to: flatfootfunnies@gmail.com.

FlatFoot Funnies was his brainchild and was generated from his desire to get back to the true essence of comedy. His goal is to create a platform for talented comics to perform and have their craft fully appreciated by the audience. On his show, it's about the funny, not about the fame. This is not Ray Grady's first time performing at The Shack. Last year at the venue, he was a part of a Comedy Show Fundraiser held by Philly Has a Heart (an organization formed by Philadelphia Phillies fans), for Bryan Stow, the San Francisco Giants fan who was critically injured in an attack on opening day at Dodgers Stadium.

Grady’s manager, Tiffany Hubbert spoke about the upcoming show saying, “Santa Monica is a beautiful area. We always knew we wanted to do a show in Santa Monica, but we had to make sure the venue was right and would offer our audience a fun atmosphere, great food and drinks, and an overall good time. The response he received from the fundraiser was incredible, so we felt it only fitting to bring FlatFoot Funnies to The Shack”. In addition to bringing some laughter to Santa Monica, Ray is also currently touring with fellow comedian, Corey Holcomb.

Ray Grady is a great host and comic. Those that have been lucky to see him perform appreciate how unique, warm and welcoming, he is. They are mesmerized by his innate ability to make his characters so realistic and his subject matter so relatable. He makes everybody feel like family and everyone leaves feeling like they've known him for years. Seeing him perform makes you forget about whatever troubles you walked in with. It's like a surprise treat that you never would expect at a comedy show.
