Rappoport Development Consulting Services LLC Obtains Small Business Certification

May 3, 2012 - PRLog -- On May 3, 2012, Jeremy Rappoport, President and founder of RDCS LLC received notification from the CCR (Contractors Central Registration), a federal government agency, that RDCS LLC had successfully satisfied the criteria and received certification as a small business.

"I am really excited to receive this certification as it allows RDCS to bid on government projects.  More importantly, general contractors and consultants bidding on large government projects can request sub-consultant proposals from RDCS LLC and benefit by using a certified small business consultant."  It is a win win situation!

Mr. Rappoport states: There aren't  many certified small business consultants offering certified tree arborist, certified tree risk assessment, landscape, horticulture and land development consulting services.  RDCS occupies a small, unique niche that we hope to grow by widening our service reach to government contractors and consultants."

General contractors and major engineering and environmental consultants regularly bid on government construction and development contracts.  Some of the government projects involve construction and development in sensitive habitats such a California Coastal Scrub, Oak Woodland, Riparian or other habitats.  When habitats are disturbed by construction, state and federal agencies require environmental and or biologic mitigation practices be employed to replace for species and habitat loss.

Additionally, construction activities may disturb or encroach into endangered or native trees.  When that occurs, a certified is required to design tree protection and preservation best management practices to reduce tree loss.  

General contractors and professional consultants including civil and environmental engineering firms now have a government certified small business consultant they can request consultant sub-bids for arborist, landscape, horticulture and land development services.  General contractors and  consultants using a certified small business may receive additional incentives from the government which may help them obtain the contract.
