CPAP Clinic Launched at NY MetroSleep

A first of its kind in the Bronx--a CPAP support center has opened to the community to support the ongoing use of CPAP to treat OSA.

May 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Bronx, NY -- A special clinic for users of CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machines—the first of its kind in the Bronx--has been launched at NY MetroSleep  in the Bronx.

The clinic, free and open to the community, will be taking place every Wednesday aat the NYMetroSleep offices.  All CPAP users are invited to come—regardless of where they received their CPAP from!

Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is a method of respiratory ventilation used primarily in the treatment of sleep apnea.

The clinic provides an opportunity for those who use CPAP to receive education, advice and professional counseling on its use.

Many people have common questions about CPAP--including proper mask fit, removal during sleep, breathing difficulties, types of masks, face sores and proper cleaning instructions. Those with sleep apnea who currently use the CPAP might also feel frustrated or overwhelmed at the results.

The clinic is staffed by a team consisting of board certified Sleep Medicine physicians, experienced sleep technologists and respiratory therapists.  The team is dedicated towards helping patients who have prescribed CPAP utilize it successfully and maximize its therapeutic benefits.

If you have any questions or concerns, you owe it to yourself to come to the clinic for help.
