The Department of Labor in North Carolina has awarded the Greiner Bio-One North America, Inc. the level of “Gold Status” for the year 2011 for superior achievement in safety. This announcement was made official on May 3rd, 2012 by Cherie Berry, the Commissioner of the North Carolina Department of Labor at the Monroe Safety Awards Banquet.
The criterion for receiving this prestigious recognition is based upon rate of days away from work and job transfer or restriction remaining at least 50% below the industry average. Also, the vigilance of the Safety Team at Greiner Bio-One was a major contributing factor and because of this all members of the Safety Team are invited to share in this honor. This is the third time that Greiner Bio-One has been presented with this award.
