The SIF Association® Announces Revisions and Price Reductions for the SIF Certification Program

May 3, 2012 - PRLog -- The SIF Association is proud to introduce the redesigned SIF Certification Program including a new reduced pricing structure to enhance its existing value to the marketplace.  The SIF Certification Program was brought “in-house” late in 2011 with a new set of tools and information guides to enhance this already successful program of the SIF community.  
   
The SIF Certification Program was established by the SIF Association to empower end users in selecting best-of-breed products, guaranteeing that every SIF certified product offers a standard of interoperability and provides the level of interoperability required.  The SIF Certification Program offers benefits to both vendors and end-users by providing an assurance of a high level of conformance and interoperability between SIF certified products.  Hundreds of marketplace provider products have gone through the SIF Certification Program since its inception.

The community leadership decided in 2010 to increase the internal capacity of the Association and bring the Certification Program under more direct development within the SIF staff.  This allows for greater flexibility in responding to quick demands of the marketplace, allows for additional cost effectiveness within the program, and enables faster development of additional testing opportunities like State and Functional Certification Profiles.

Responding to the demands voiced by both end users and vendors, the SIF community is delighted to announce a new reduced pricing structure with immediate effect for all new certifications .  Most of these reductions have resulted in a “half price” opportunity for organizations going through the Certification testing.  Ideally these pricing changes will allow developers respond to their customer demands for SIF Certification and ensure that the fees are not a hurdle to those conversations and business opportunities.

All SIF Certified products can be found on the SIF Certification Registry (http://certification.sifassociation.org/SitePages/Certifi...) which provides detailed information on each SIF Certified product, including vendor name, conformance statement, product standard and category.  The SIF Certification Registry is the only place to find a complete list of applications recognized by the SIF Association as providing interoperability using the SIF standard.
