New Board Member and Secretary at Elbert County Libraries Foundation Board

PRLog (Press Release) - May 3, 2012 - ELIZABETH, Colo.  The Elbert County Libraries Foundation has appointed Ms Suzanne O’Neill of Elizabeth to its board of directors. The foundation’s board also elected Ms. Ann Lamb, a current board member, to the position of secretary of the board of directors succeeding Susan Schick who resigned from the board because of the press of other interests. The board oversees and supports the foundation’s mission to enhance the library district by raising, managing and allocating funds to expand and improve the facilities, programs and services of its libraries. The foundation’s immediate focus is to develop and secure the funding needed to modify the recently acquired Elizabeth library building into a really great community resource.

O’Neill, a principal with Transit Plus, Inc., is a consultant focused on transportation planning in Colorado and has been a resident of Elizabeth for 20 years.

Lamb has been a resident of Elbert County since 1999. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and has experience in sales, marketing and customer service. Active in the community, she has been a regular library patron over the years and has been a board member for 16 months.

Foundation board president Fred Beisser noted “We are pleased with both appointments and look forward capitalizing on the background that Suzanne O’Neill brings to the foundation’s board and its capital campaign. The foundation still has openings for more board members; it is a great way to help make Elbert County an event better place to live and work.”
