The website contains a resource directory that will feature Maine prenatal resources, Maine labor and delivery hospitals, Maine pediatricians, Maine child care and more. The site also features recent recall announcements for baby and child products, as recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, as well as an open Forum for moms to talk and relate to one another.
“The website is intended to provide Maine Moms the information that they want. It’s a site created by moms, for moms,” Littlefield continued. “We will continually and consistently be updating our resource information on the website. We are working on populating the directories with all of the current information that we can find. It’s an ongoing process, and we welcome any requests to be added to our site from local providers, as well as any suggestions for data and information to include on the site.”
The site will also feature personal blogs written by real Maine moms. “Moms need to relate to other moms. Moms seek advice and seek confirmation that they’re not the only one in their situation,” Littlefield said. “With our featured bloggers, Maine moms will be able to closely follow the lives of other women to whom they can relate.”
