Kaplen JCC Mother's Day Rubin Run in Tenafly, NJ
One of the reasons for this event's popularity and staying power is the fact that the Rubin Run is one of the few remaining area distance runs that still offers more than just the 5K distance. Joggers, serious competitors can choose to participate in a 5K, 10K or even a half marathon (13.1 miles). The Rubin Run race courses take runners through winding, scenic and serene streets of Tenafly, New Jersey's beautiful East Hill area.
The Rubin Run, now in its 31st year, is named for the late Leonard Rubin, a past president and founder of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, who established this community wide athletic event to encourage and promote healthy living.
It is now held on Mother’s Day each year as a way for families to share health lifestyles and spend meaningful time together. Planned as a competitive and family friendly athletic event, it offers something for everyone.
