This is a common problem with laptops regardless if the laptop new or old one. Sometimes the customers thought this problem is related to a computer virus and we had to explain to them that nothing to do with a virus and it just a hardware issue.

The first thing you have to do is to check the power adapter cable. The power adapter cable sometimes stops working or could be damaged due to a power failure. If you have an extra adapter that would be a good idea to try it, but if you don’t then check the battery if there is enough charge on it. Some of these batteries have indicator and shows the power percentage. If the battery doesn’t have the power indicator then remove the battery and use only the power adapter. Most of notebook have power light led. It could be at the front or on the right side. The led will tell you if there is any power coming from the power adapter to the laptop. If the led is off or no light at all then the problem from the power adapter and you have to replace it. Now if the led is on and still you cannot turn the laptop on, in this case you have to recycle the power.
