CreateWriteNow, an organization dedicated to personal journaling for health and wellbeing, presents a week long online journaling challenge, beginning May 14. For seven days, participants will use journaling to explore – and improve - their relationship to money.
Topics covered during the challenge include articulating the participant's current position and feelings with regard to money, analyzing fears about finances that may be based in the distant past, discovering personal values, creating goals and action plans, and proceeding into a better future with renewed confidence.
Journaling helps you gain control over the power of money in your life. The Challenge guides participants in using daily journal writing to come to terms with money worries, create healthy and productive approaches to money-making, discover and heal the origins of fears about money, and create workable strategies for achieving personal financial goals.
Anyone who is struggling with the economic difficulties of the past several years, especially those who are unemployed and worried, will benefit from participating in the challenge. During the challenge, the workbook, private online forum, and free consultations with CreateWriteNow's leader, Mari L. McCarthy, are aimed at helping participants get a grip on money: both attitudes towards it and actual possession of it.
Mari L. McCarthy publishes a website (http://CreateWriteNow.com) devoted to journaling, as well as a series of ebooks – or e-workbooks, as she calls them – showing how to apply journal writing to a large variety of life's challenges. Topics have included ways in which journaling can be used in job searches, losing weight, overcoming writer's block, and a host of health and wellness issues; as well as guides to establishing a journaling habit, and using it to find peace of mind and body.
The course is free, though participants must register in advance and purchase a workbook ($19.97). Details and registration can be found at http://www.createwritenow.com/
