PRLog (Press Release) - May 2, 2012 - The fuss over next President of India

As Pratibha Tai is all set to bid adieu to her imperial and lavishing abode of 200,000 square feet at Raisina Hill, the race for the next President-to-be has now taken a malignment yet shrewd move. Contestants for this apolitical and higly sublime post are - "Missile Man of India" - Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, veteran political instigant - Pranab Mukherjee, symbol of levelheadedness - Hamdi Ansari, the towering tech bloke - Narayan Murthy (lesser spoken name) along with double-dyed entrepreneur - Sam Pitroda and Meira Kumar, the current Speaker of Lok Sabha and a notable IFS of 1973 batch.
It's a harsh truth that the Presidential post in India holds restricted powers under the pretext of supremacy, but to be very honest, this post is an image which we project for a bright, prospering and a victorious nation. Indeed, it's the time to build a national unanimity on one name as the official residence of "Rashtrapati Bhavan" isn't merely a rubber stamp.
However, the Government as well as the opposition is keeping mum on the subject of next potential choice, but if believed in the speculations and mumbling of media and "aam admi," Kalam Saab is the most ideal choice with monumental outspoken support. Not even this, for his long trail of fanatic followers, it's almost a cardinal sin to indispose the presidential post for a man who is a nation's favorite and is best known for making India a pride across the world during his previous tenure.
Sadly, the process of electing President in India has to suffer from the complex prowess of politicking. There are various factors which effect the operation of coronation such as - political roadblocks, religious circumstances, casteism, minority-ism and regional prospects. It's a big shame that to catapult a protagonist of inter-faith solidarity on the seat of President, our nation has to endure immaterial considerations rather than focusing on potent philosophical berths, outstanding global vision and other considerable merits.
Selecting the President on the basis of political or non-political landscape is a futile vision. We need an ideologically-oriented freehearted person who can inspire the nation by his/her imaginativeness as well as who can rectify the constitutional hassles endangering the nation at present. Whether he/she is coming with a wild card entry, but we need a President who can withstand the virtuous values of India at the time when our political stalwarts are losing their credibleness with a breakneck speed.
We don’t know who is going to be the next Head of State, but we definitely wish to see a person who can boost the very spirit of nationalism and the well being of citizens. We have an exclusionist view over the matters of cast and religion because in a real democracy, birth is not a considerable issue. We desperately need a standard torchbearer who can guide the nation practically rather than theoretically. He should be capable in defending the security as well as the economy which is notorious for farming more babies than the country can feed.
