Pardoes is no stranger to the town, having had an office at Taunton’s Riverside development since 1996, and a presence in the town since the early 1980s. Thanks to growing demand, the time has come to move to bigger premises, as the business has invested in more staff and now offers an even greater range of services.
A Grade II listed building, Creech Castle was home to the Beadon family in the 1800s and has previously been used as a hotel. Built in 1850, Creech Castle provides the perfect new home for Pardoes – it is an iconic Somerset building and is set in an extremely convenient location.
Denys Rayner, Chief Executive of Pardoes, says, “We are delighted to be moving to Creech Castle. It is one of the most prominent buildings in Somerset and we are very much looking forward to making it our new home. Taunton is very important to us and we believe that through our new office, we can provide some real competition that will benefit the people of Taunton and the surrounding area. At Pardoes we pride ourselves on providing city level expertise at value for money pricing and we are looking forward to demonstrating this to both existing and new clients."
The larger premises mean that Pardoes will be able to offer its full range of legal services in Taunton, from services for individuals through to legal advice and HR support for businesses. Pardoes is a well-established South West legal firm, with 15 partners and 95 staff across its Bridgwater, Yeovil and Taunton offices. It offers a full range of legal services and has expanded many of its specialist sectors in the past two years. During that time new partners have been appointed to head up its core business divisions in the fields of private client, family, property, litigation and commercial and employment work.
