MilSatCom Asia to Feature Jabiru Satellite Service

May 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Now on its second year, MilSatCom Asia will gather global and regional satellite communications carriers together to discuss market trends, challenges and technological updates. Greg Cowie of NewSat will talk about the company's growing satellite communications capabilities. Asia-Pacific, Middle East and African markets are poised to benefit from NewSat's Jabiru-1 Ka-band satellite, which is expected to launch in 2014.

This year's MilSatCom Asia is the satellite industry's response to the robust growth in the demand for satellite communications. SMi, MilSatCom’s organizer,  is turning the annual  conference into an must-see trade event that would help regional and global  SATCOM carriers expand business networks and learning opportunities.SMi looks to attracting specific niche markets for its flagship event.

Mr Cowie along with representatives from other satellite firms will discuss major issues affecting the regional and international satellite communications providers. Speakers include civil experts and officials of global and regional defence and government agencies. Speakers will also cover military and  commercial  satellite service programs and initiatives such as the Jabiru Satellite Communications Program, Australia's first locally owned commercial fleet. Issues pertaining to civil-military interoperability and joint government projects will also be covered.
