Mills is a Registered Architect and a Registered Interior Designer with over 35 years experience in architecture, program management, and professional administration. He has managed world-class medical projects in the Middle East including the University Hospital in Dubai and a confidential Medical Center in Doha Qatar. He has also completed a variety of state, federal, and private projects primarily in medical and educational architecture, including projects for the Veterans Administration, the Corps of Engineers, and the State of Texas. He has provided architectural and design expertise for over 60 medical campuses in ten states and is well versed in hospital licensing codes, Life Safety codes, building codes for hospitals, hospital planning, and programming and construction techniques.
A member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Mills also donates time to significant civic groups. He has served on the City of Dallas Urban Rehabilitation Standards Board, where he was vice chairman. He has also served on the City of Dallas Electrical Review Board, has held various positions with the White Buffalo District Boy Scouts of America including district chairman, and has been a member of the East Dallas Rotary Club and the East Dallas Chamber of Commerce.
