Espressogrow and Aekyung Group announce strategic relationship.

Eco-friendly fertiliser start-up, Espressogrow, has announced today that the company has entered into a five-year strategic relationship with powerful Republic of Korea conglomerate, Aekyung Group

PRLog - May 1, 2012 - SYDNEY, Australia -- The Aekyung Group, with annual turnover in excess of US$1.2bn and a diversified product base, including fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), resort golf courses and its own Airline, Jeju Air, is looking to deliver the Espressogrow (http://www.espressogrow.com) business model and its fertiliser products into South Korea.

Mark Henderson, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Espressogrow stated, “ A little over a year ago we developed the Espressogrow business model of extracting coffee waste from coffee shops and turning it into a fertiliser product. Our dream, at that point, went as far as buying a second hand vehicle and selling it at our local market…to now, having a major player, a highly decorated and successful company in the Aekyung Group, partnering with us in the Republic of Korea. It’s an exciting time for our business to say the least. The Aekyung Group is such a fine company and we are proud to join forces with them and deliver Espressogrow to South Korean consumers”.

In February 2012, the Aekyung Group contacted Henderson to discuss his plans for Asian expansion. Their business includes major retail distribution throughout the Republic of Korea, and was looking to deliver ‘green products’ to their customers; products that delivered real environmental benefits and were built on reuse, diverting waste from landfill.

Mr Woo-jung Kim, Manager, Business Development Division for Aekyung Group stated, “Mr Henderson and his management team are attempting to deliver real change, positive change for the environment based on a clever waste extraction and manufacturing process, turning coffee ground waste into fertiliser. We have a strong focus to deliver green products into the market to meet rising consumer demand. We look forward to working with the Espressogrow management team to generate success in the Republic of South Korea. We are delighted to develop this partnership and hope for a bright and successful future for our relationship”.

Eric Rosenkranz, Espressogrow’s Chairman added, “the Aekyung Group are a highly respected and successful company. They have extensive knowledge of the market in the Republic of Korea and the necessary infrastructure for Espressogrow to reach a broad audience. We will work hard in ensuring that the partnership is a successful one. This is another feather in the cap of Mark and his management team and for Espressogrow as a new start-up…but the hard work has only just started”.

Espressogrow and the Aekyung Group will be working closely to deliver a range of fertiliser products into the South Korean market, including both dry-form and liquid based products, crafted to suit the climatic and soil conditions presented in this part of the world.

Further, Henderson stated, “we see strong growth prospects for eco-friendly fertiliser sales right throughout Asia. Our Asian neighbours recognise the importance of sustainable and eco-friendly products and we look forward to working with interested parties in the region to deliver Espressogrow fertiliser products”.
