Film Maker Marlon Campbell Releases Statement

Celebrity Film Maker Marlon Campbell Mourns Loss of His longtime Publisher and Friend Jay Warner.

May 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Jay Warner Pres/CEO of National League Music has died. Over the years, Warner represented a diverse lineup of music catalogs, singer/songwriters and TV/film companies, including Filmmaker Marlon Campbell, Black Eye Peas, Tallyrand Music (Neil Diamond), Bruce Springsteen, Lindee Music (Dells, Staples Singers), the Four Seasons, Jimmy Webb, MC Hammer, HBO, Avco Embassy Pictures and Teena Marie.

Prior to National League, he served as VP of the West Farrell Organization and Charles Koppleman's The Entertainment Company (forerunner of SBK/EMI). He also founded and was named president of K-Tel Records' worldwide publishing operations. Warner serviced Campbell’s publishing catalog that dates back to the late 80’s and early 90’s when Campbell was the Front man for the Alternative/Hip Hop Group Shy Shy & The C.R.I.M.E.  Upon learning of the death of his dear friend, Campbell had this to say:

“A friend is someone that will tell you like it is despite your reaction but considering how it will make you feel. They highlight your good and bad while encouraging you along the way. They are there for you when you need them. They are contributors to your strength, as you are to theirs. They are your eternal confidants. That is who Jay Warner was to me. Forever my Friend, I’ll miss you much. Rest in peace!”
