Lipari Foods is a family operated business with a core value of keeping employees and customers a top priority. Any business decision that impacts employees, customers or a community is handled with the highest care and concern. This was a difficult decision to make. We know the I&K employees are hard working, dedicated individuals and that this decision will impact their local community. However, we believe it is a necessary business decision to continue to meet our customers expectations and our companys long term goals to be the premier perimeter of the store distributor, states Thom Lipari, President and CEO. The expectation is that consolidating the warehouses will create a stronger business that will allow for growth and future job creation in the areas we service.
Lipari Foods is committed to handling each employee situation with professional attention. Where possible, displaced I&K employees have been encouraged to apply for employment with Lipari after the closure. The company is also providing separation packages and support in finding potential new employment. Additionally Lipari Foods will be working with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services to aid with any government supported programs.
