Agabhumi Launches Pearl Girl Collection

PRLog (Press Release) - May 1, 2012 - Agabhumi the Best of Bali, a Stamford, Connecticut based jewelry and accessory brand, has introduced Pearl Girl—a new collection based on the concept that every young woman, through layers of experiences, may blossom into a strong complex precious object like a pearl. Produced in Bali, the collection is created of freshwater pearls, mother of pearl and abalone shells all set in sterling silver. Some pieces are embellished with the Chinese symbol for “strong woman”, in sterling silver.
      
“I chose the evolution of a pearl because it is analogous to a young girl’s path to adulthood,” shares creator Regina Kirshbaum. “The pearl is a fragile grain of sand at the outset and yet over time it evolves, layer upon layer, into a beautiful, lustrous object of strength and value. Our “Pearl Girl” represents the embodiment of that growing, self-assured young woman. She may be envisioned as a superhero with whom everyone may relate.

With this sentiment in mind, Agabhumi has chosen to donate a portion of all Pearl Girl sales to the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council (MYLC). The youth activism organization focuses on anti-bullying and enriching the lives of young people in the City of Stamford,CT.

According to Bob Kocienda of MYLC, “we were excited to partner up with Agabhumi on this collection.” He goes on to say, “many of our youths are faced with tremendous obstacles throughout their adolescence and, much like a pearl, develop and evolve layer by layer with every challenge they overcome.”
