NVE Bank Participates in National Rebuilding Day

Englewood, NJ, April 30, 2011- NVE Bank participated in National Rebuilding Day as part of April’s National Rebuilding Month by sponsoring a Rebuilding Together project at the Southeast Senior Center for Independent Living, in Englewood, NJ.    NVE Bank President Robert Rey, along with bank employees volunteered to paint, garden and make repairs to the Center, which serves seniors throughout Bergen County with medical, dental and fitness programs, and recreational activities.   “Investing in the communities where we live and work is part of our Bank’s mission” said Rey.   “We have deep roots within the towns we serve and are committed to making a difference through our time and resources to ensure communities remain healthy and strong”.  

In addition to volunteer service, NVE also presented Rebuilding Together Bergen County with a $6,000 donation to assist with their mission of rehabilitating and improving low-income homeowner’s homes at no cost.   Recipients of services include the elderly, disabled, military veterans and families in need, as well as community centers serving those populations.  “We are always grateful to see corporate sponsors like NVE come out to support the work at the home or community building their funding supports”, said Mary Ellen Doster, President of Rebuilding Together Bergen County’s Board of Directors.
