Le Soleil
A simple idea inspired by the morning. The sun allows us to see things, but we cannot look at it directly: it must be screened and filtered. This reflection by Vicente has led him to the creation of a lamp in which direct and indirect light create an extraordinary effect: a soft warm glow suspended in the air – like the sun.
We took two years (eight seasons) to develop this. While the earth revolved around the sun, Le Soleil’s personality developed. It is a sphere made up of irregular bands that contains two types of illumination:
space below and a softer, richer light reflected by the inner surfaces of the bands. Le Soleil is made of polycarbonate with an opaque finish. It is a material that screens the light perfectly, to
create particularly warm and pure reflected illumination. The olume is rendered more dynamic by the irregular edges
of the bands. These details recall the softness of the light and
mean that it appears different depending on one’s point of view. The sun is warmth and Le Soleil is also colour. Red and aquamarine illuminate its personality, giving it a young, sunny, playful style, irradiating strong emotion into the space and imbuing it with its iconic personality. The minimalist, ethereal white version has been designed for an elegant space that is, at the same time, warm, seductive and adorably poetic. Le Soleil, in all its versions, is a new star in the domestic and contract firmament, whether alone or multiplied in the space.
