Key features of the Cezanne OnDemand Spring 2012 release include:
New notifications and alerts to make it easier to stay on top of key events
For any organisation, large or small, it can be challenging to keep track of all of the events that need to be managed. Important dates – such as the end of probation and disciplinary periods - can be missed, which may lead to additional costs or complexity for the business.
With this release, customers can now configure Cezanne OnDemand to automatically send employees and third parties (for example, payroll providers) e-mail notifications about key events such as upcoming absences, probation period end dates, and employee start dates and leaving dates.
New regional and divisional HR roles for better control over access to employee records
International and multi-site companies – as well as organisations with HR teams focused on specific organisation units – will benefit from the introduction of a new restricted HR user role. This allows customers to define the employee records that local HR staff or personnel administrators can access based on a specific company, location or org unit. For example, Cezanne OnDemand customers can now allow local HR administrators to see only the records of employees in their part of the business, or prevent them from seeing certain employee records, such as the Board of Directors.
Easily add absences to Outlook or Google Calendars
We all rely on calendars to help us keep track of absences. This new feature enhances the existing calendar functionality in Cezanne OnDemand by allowing employees and approving managers to quickly add absences – such as holidays and sick leave – to their Microsoft Outlook or Google calendar using the standard ICS export file format.
Improved organisation charting features to help with HR planning
We know how valuable organisation charts can be for HR planning and for helping new employees find their way around the company. With the Spring 2012 release, up-to-the-minute org charts in Cezanne OnDemand can be saved as png images for printing or including in other documents. We’ve also made it possible to generate ‘point in time’ organisation charts, so our customers can see exactly how an organisation looked at a specific date.
Further productivity enhancements for faster results
Working with customers and our own usability experts, we’ve introduced a number of changes that will help speed up the time it takes to manage key HR-related activities. For example, we’ve added a ’quick approve’ button to the home screen, so that line managers can approve holiday requests with a single click. Naturally, managers can still drill down into the detail of each employee’s record, and review team diaries, before approving requests if they want to. Time-saving features have been added to the performance module too. For example, HR administrators can clone existing appraisal forms and then modify them, so it’s easier to set up tailored appraisal forms that reflect the exact needs of the business.
