SPIN to Hold 2nd Annual Innovative Conference in Telluride, CO in July

April 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Everything about this conference will be different and untried. SPIN is known for doing everything differently, and the annual conference, SPINCon North America, will push that envelope even further. Before the conference begins, suppliers and planners will set appointments via virtual technology (Skype, FaceTime, Google+) to establish critical vendor relationships. Technology partner, EventMobi, will launch its new game function, custom designed for SPIN, in the weeks leading up to and during the conference. All members can experience the game before the conference and attendees will use it to learn and compete for points during the conference. Then, when attendees board the shuttle from airport to the resort, they will have opportunities to learn about each other and about the venue.

During the conference, many innovations will be employed to keep attendees on their toes, whether at stand-up meetings or on assignment to learn strategic thinking. The trade show will be structured as a mini site inspection of the Hotel Madeline in three different locations within the hotel. The golden Lab puppy belonging to the manager of the Telluride Conference Center will host the Social Media Lounge. Of course, the sessions presented at the conference will be leading-edge content, evaluated by a member-based advisory group, and delivered by exceptional professionals in the industry.

SPIN is also very conscious about giving back to the communities it serves, and several events associated with the conference will achieve that goal. Early arrivers can participate in a cupcake bake-off, SPINCake Wars, that benefits the San Miguel Resource Center. Students of the Rock and Rock Academy will perform at lunch on Thursday with a fundraiser to provide a scholarship to a local child. As attendees disembark in Colorado, they can Lighten the Load by donating goods to charities in those airport towns. And, one member who has the Winning Idea for a U.S.-based charity, selected by a poll of our members, will get to attend the conference for free.
