Volpe and Koenig, P.C. Announces Three New Associates

April 30, 2012 - PRLog -- PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA (April 30, 2012) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., an intellectual property boutique law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Princeton, New Jersey,  announced today that three members of its most recent clerk group Jessica N. Morton, Thomas P. Gushue and Turhan F. Sarwar have joined as associates of the firm.
   Morton is an associate in the firm’s University and Life Sciences Group, where she applies her background in molecular biology and genetics and focuses on biological and chemical patent prosecution, licensing and due diligence. Prior to joining the firm, Morton worked with two university technology transfer and commercialization offices. She earned her J.D. from Temple University of Law and her M.S. and B.S. from Kanas State University.
Gushue is an associate in the Mechanical Arts Group.  His practice focuses on U.S. and international patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation — working closely with clients during preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Gushue has technical experience prosecuting patents that include everything from mechanical systems, automotive and biomedical devices to consumer products, telecommunication devices and electromechanical devices. He earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Sarwar is an associate in the firm's Trademark and Litigation Groups.  He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, licensing and portfolio management, and provides support in the prosecution of domestic and international trademark and patent applications. Prior to joining the firm, Sarwar served in various capacities at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, the Office of the District Attorney in Philadelphia, and as a judicial intern in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He was recently appointed to the Philadelphia Chapter of the South Asian Bar Association Board as Vice President of the Attorney Outreach Committee.
