Coworking is a membership-based style of work which involves a shared working environment, yet independent activity. The new facility will provide open concept workstations, private offices, a cozy lounge, meeting space, internet access, business library, business equipment and a gourmet coffee bar. Members will also have access to workshops and seminars that support small business growth.
The Office Connexion is developing an in-house curriculum for new business owners and real estate agents focused on core business concepts. The DBA (Dynamic Business Accelerator)
New real estate agents can also get the boost they need for their careers through the Real Estate Agent Development Institute (READI) series of business management course designed for the real estate industry. Similar to the entrepreneurship program, agents may join the Agent MBA program upon completion of the 8-week READI program.
In addition to in-house programs, the co-founders, Fernell and Toni Hogan, have been in discussions with Accion Texas, SBA Business Centers, and The Entrepreneurship Center at the Houston Area Urban League about forming strategic partnerships that provide their members and the community access to business education and information about funding options. They are also working with 360training.com develop an online course delivery portal offering career development and continuing education courses.
The Office Connexion is scheduled to launch officially in June, but prospective members will be able to take advantage of free coworking days beginning mid-May.
