April 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Rob Hamilton, of Drumoak, will, for the seventh time, run the Baker Hughes 10k in May in support of local charity Inspire. Founder and managing director of Dynamic Edge Solutions, an IT service company who focus on providing businesses with the most cost-effective and resilient IT platform, Rob is a well known figure in the field and regularly presents at industry events and keynotes on Cloud Computing technology.

Rob, 40, says: “I have taken part in the 10k seven times before and am determined to make this year’s the best ever. I have been warming up for the event with regular runs through Drumoak and have recently completed my eleventh marathon in London. I see the 10k as a fantastic way to give back to the local community and I am determined to smash my time and fundraising target from last year and raise as much as I physically can for Inspire.”

Fiona Poustie, Head of Business Development and Communications at Inspire, continues: ”It is great to have Rob on board again for this year’s Baker Hughes 10k. Rob and his team at Dynamic Edge have been a business partner of ours for several years as well as coming on board as sponsors for our events such as the Grampian Country fair in June. Rob has an extensive background in long and short  distance running which is sure to help him this time around!”

To run the 10k for team Inspire, contact the fundraising department on 01224 280005 or email fundraising@inspireonline.org.uk. Registration costs just £20 with each participant required to raise a minimum of £60 in sponsorship to support children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs in the North East of Scotland. Last year Inspire’s fantastic team of runners raised in excess of £13,000, with the aim of smashing that figure this time around.

Team Inspire members will benefit from a range of training and race tips, a power breakfast and warm up prior to the event, massage treatment, showering facilities and post event pasta party as well as receiving an official Team Inspire t-shirt, fundraising support and advice from our experienced team as well as advice on how to maximise your pre-race training through our weekly running group.
