April 30, 2012 - PRLog -- The Burton Albion Community Trust is proud to announce Trent and Dove Housing as their new partner for its social inclusion work in Burton upon Trent.
Trent and Dove Housing joined Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson and Community Development Manager Andy Taylor to mark the start of the partnership at Burton Albion’s recent home match against Morecambe FC.
The BACT’s social inclusion programme includes the Albion2Engage Project which works with young people between the age of 12 and 19 years old across four different areas of Burton upon Trent. The project offers free football and coaching sessions and aims to reduce anti-social behaviour in targeted areas of the town.
Mr Taylor said, ‘The support of Trent & Dove Housing will allow us to further expand our current Engagement Programme and really start to make a difference in tackling anti-social behaviour in Burton upon Trent.
‘The Albion2Engage programme can offer young people exit routes into education, further training or employment as well offering wider initiatives such as health awareness.’
Trent and Dove are a housing association, otherwise referred to as a Registered Social Landlord (RSL), providing affordable housing for rent across East Staffordshire. Through local offices in Burton & Uttoxeter, Trent and Dove offer homes for families, for younger people, for older people and for those with special needs. We also work with East Staffordshire Borough Council to provide quality advice and services to homeless and vulnerable people.
The Burton Albion Community Trust is an official registered Burton charity which works to deliver projects based on the four main themes of health, education, participation and social inclusion across the local area and currently works with thousands of people throughout our local communities.
