PRLog - Apr. 29, 2012 - Research from the mobile phone comparison website compareaphone.com has shown that Apple was the most searched mobile phone manufacturer for the first four months of 2012.
According to compareaphone.com, mobile phone manufacturer Apple takes up 58% of all manufacturer searches. Out of these 37% were for the iPhone 4S.
The data was taken from online search results where you can compare phones on the comparison website since 1st January 2012 proving that Apple is the most dominant mobile phone manufacturer by some distance and is still the most sort after mobile phone. Other manufacturers included Samsung which came in second at 18%, HTC which consisted of 10% of searches and Nokia with 3% of searches.
A similar trend has also been shown across its business comparison side of the site; Compareaphone.com compare business contracts for multiple handsets across all the major network providers.
The big question now is whether or not Apple can maintain this dominance due to the other manufacturers playing catch-up and releasing higher specification phones than the iPhone 4S. Also it remains to be seen how Apple will evolve the iPhone 4S because there seems to be a lack of innovation now that Steve Jobs is no longer there.
