Elaborating on the event, Paresh Mishra added, “Our objective was to create a unique experience for the kids that allow them to let their hair down and enjoy their summer holidays, while parents could spend some quality time shopping in the mall.We wanted the activity to be engaging and something which the kids can look forward to throughout their holidays. Hence, the idea of ‘Adventure Island’ where we conduct activities that acknowledges kids’ with all round abilities. The competition imparts knowledge while providing entertainment to the kids.”
Further Commenting on the event , Paresh Mishra, CEO Runwal Group said, “it is our constant endeavour to create something new and exciting for our shoppers and we are pretty sure they will fully enjoy this Adventure Island event. This summer we are creating a new adventurous interactive event for the shoppers at all our properties.
The month long activity, ‘Adventure Island’ will use different kinds of prop based instant fun and competitive games to keep the kids engaged. Every participant will have to surpass 3-levels of activities – involving games as well as showcase their dancing, singing acting or any other talent. The participants will have to accumulate points to qualify for the fourth stage of ‘Unravelling the Treasure’.Every kid who wishes to participate in the ‘Adventure Island’ contest will be given an ‘Adventure Island Booklet’ from the registration counter to record all the activities and the points collected at various levels. The kids will get their booklets stamped for each activity participated along with a badge.
Since the theme of the event is adventure at the sea, one will end up running into costumed characters like Christopher Columbus or the Vikings or even witnessing a mock duel between pirates and guards. The focal point of the event at R-City Mall will be a giant sized ship, anchored in the atrium. 2D models of the same ship will serve as the stage backdrops at both R Mall Mulund and Thane.
Apart from the activities, various interactive and fun workshops will be conducted that includeFruit & Vegetable Carving, Coconut Art, and MaskMaking, Mask Making, Kid’s Kitchen Workshop, and using Waste to Create Artworks.
