The group will be randomly assigned to one of 20 teams and challenged to use canned food items to build a variety of large structures that replicate southern California landmarks. Vons is providing more than 8,000 canned items for the contest and will be donating the product to FOOD Share, Ventura County’s regional food bank, which has received 2,995,950 pounds of food from Vons since 2003 (equivalent to 2.5M meals). Judging the competition will be FOOD Share board members and management staff.
