"Act Of Valor" actors join "Midnight’s Children" and "3 Idiots"

April 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, 27 April, 2012: Essaying the lead role, Satya Bhabha (lead actor in the upcoming Deepa Mehta/Salman Rushdie Midnight’s Children and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and) has joined Alex Veadov (Christo from Act Of Valor) and Ailsa Marshall (Act of Valor) as well as Omi Vaidya (from Bollywood blockbusters 3 Idiots, Desi Boyz, Jodi Breakers) in the drama American Dream: The True Story. Other cast includes Namrata Singh Gujral (Americanizing Shelley, Kaante) and Chasty Ballesteros (The Newsroom with Dev Patel).

The film, currently shooting in Hollywood, is being directed by Namrata Singh Gujral, whose last film 1 a Minute premiered in 600 USA theaters and went on to open in theaters internationally. UniGlobe Entertainment is producing with exec producer Natasha Gill.

American Dream: The True Story is the journey of a young Christian man from Pakistan who travels to the United States to escape persecution against Christians and to realize his American dream, only to find that the escape to free shores may have come at a cost. As he embraces the possibilities that freedom and democracy bring; he also succumbs to a variety of means to achieve the dream, which may take him to places worse than what he was trying to get away from in the first place.
