Finding Time’s Solo-E Certified Expert Celebrates National Coaching Day

Local Time Management Expert and Master Coach shares ideas to get the most out of coaching

PRLog - April 29, 2012 - PETERBOROUGH, N.H. -- Francestown, NH – April 30, 2012 – May 1 is National Coaching Day. Still, millions of people think coaching just has to do with sports.

“Not so!” says one Solo-E.com Certified Expert, Paula Eder, Ph.D.  “Expert coaching can help anyone reach a goal.  From weight loss to business, from crafting to cooking: there’s a coach who can help you improve your skills and your results.”

“Getting coaching can really help solo entrepreneurs see better results quickly,” says Terri Zwierzynski, CEO and founder of Solo-E.com. “However, every person who uses a coach should understand their responsibilities as well so they can get the most from their coaching relationship.”

“Coaching can help you save time and money,” adds Eder.  “Building on others’ experience allows you to expand your opportunities exponentially while you find time for what matters most.”

Founded in 2006, Finding Time helps heart-based entrepreneurs and small business owners align their core values and energy with their time choices and behaviors so that they can make more money, create more freedom, and find more time. Eder is one of 50 solo professionals who have met the requirements of the only international post-graduate certification program for solo entrepreneurs to become a Solo-E.com certified expert.

Together, Eder and Zwierzynski share some tips for working with a coach effectively during National Coaching Day:

1.   Be open. “Sometimes a coach will say something that you can be resistant to for a variety of reasons,” says Solo-E.com founder Zwierzynski. “This person is an expert in what they do so having an open mind about what they offer and are asking you to do really helps.”

2.   Don’t be afraid to ask questions. “Even if you have an open mind, sometimes you will need to ask more questions either to clarify or to share why you feel uncomfortable,” says Eder, the Time Management professional. “Asking questions helps your coach help you!”

3.   Results are up to you.  According to Zwierzynski, “it’s as simple as this: if you don’t do the work your coach is asking you to do, you won’t see the results you want.”

4.   The proof is in the pudding.  Eder notes that it’s in the implementation of what you discuss with your coach that the best learning can take place.  “Try things out.  Experiment.  Don’t be afraid – and remember, it’s a process!”

5.   Be grateful.  “Openness and appreciation can help reframe every experience you have as positive,” says Eder.  “When you come from a place of gratitude, you can embrace your mistakes – and that way, you learn so much more from your coaching experience!”
