Northwest Interpreters, Inc. Officially Certified by the WBENC

April 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Vancouver, Wash. — April 27, 2012 — The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the recognized leader in certification for women-owned businesses, has certified Northwest Interpreters, Inc. (NWI).  Based in the Pacific Northwest, NWI is at the forefront of the language services industry, with a worldwide network of more than 1,000 professional linguists working in 175 languages.

The exacting WBENC certification method includes a review process overseen by a Certification Review Committee.  The Committee makes sure the business applying for certification is 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a single woman or a group of women.  WBENC reviews applicants’ financial structure, including profit and loss statements, as well as Employee Stock Ownership Plan Agreements (ESOPs).    

Many companies and organizations rely on WBENC certification when deciding to create relationships with vendors or suppliers. NWI looks forward to a long-lasting relationship with WBENC, taking part in supplier diversity programs, and implementing industry best practices.
