Follow on Google News | A Major Future Big Time Now or what? It's not often nowadays in the reggae business, to come across an act that is different.
By: MMCO But all that is changing, A number of new, young and eager artists are emerging and a band called "ROOTS NATION" from the USA is one of them. These young musicians hail from Dover New Hampshire and bring the excitement and real 'roots reggae' to a lagging music scene and the real roots that veteran producer Coxson Dodd first launched from Jamaica. The band play some of the nicest old time Reggae you've ever danced to. With tasty nods to the classics, these folks also write some righteous stuff of their own. Their horns are right out of the Don Drummond book. Members Greg Pearlman on vocals, trombone, percussion, along with Aaron Spears on vocals, saxes, percussion, Julie DiOrio - vocals, Rider McCoy - keyboards, vocals, Orlando Velasquez - guitar, M'talewa Thomas - bassist, and drummer extraordinaire Glen Grant carry on the tradition of early real reggae artists. The real deal, new music for an old world. The 70's era originators like Coxsone Dodd and Duke Reid, the Studio One and Treasure Isle recording artists who set the bar during the golden age of Roots Reggae led the young group to record their new debut album "TEMPERATURE'S RISING". The album it contains a lot of mainstream radio hits like "Temperature's Rising", 'Shark Attack", "Do The Downbeat" and more, all aimed at the real roots listener and 'dem who like to dance!" Check out one of the new generation artists, "ROOTS NATION" at www.rootsnation.com or on Facebook and Myspace.. And don't forget to get a copy of the album for yourself! Temperature's rising, and you can feel it on the street... . End
