Specialist Language Courses Ltd is the brainchild of two established industry figures in English and Foreign Language Training and their chairman, a senior executive at Google. Together, they saw a gap in the market for an agency and consultancy focusing purely on business, industry-specific, higher education, and niche leisure language and cultural training courses.
SLC has created a portfolio of provision that consists of some of the best language schools, in-company specialists and online providers around the world who offer highly targeted and effective courses aimed at the professional and Higher Education markets. By offering a range of delivery types, SLC is able to offer flexible, customisable blended courses, provided by organisations of established integrity and quality.
Chris Moore, Managing Director and Co-Founder, has been in language teaching for 22 years as teacher, teacher trainer, school principal, sales director, and director of corporate language training. ‘There’s been a phenomenal growth in demand for the corporate world for highly targeted language courses that produce effective results and a strong ROI. Not only that, key global industries such as Aviation and the Military, are increasingly using international language assessments as integral parts of their recruitment and career development pathways.’

The third Founder of Specialist Language Courses is the company chairman, Paul Alexander. Paul is a senior negotiator at Google, and has extensive senior level experience in strategic planning, negotiation, contracts, technology development, business development and consulting across several business sectors. He also has experience in growing both large and small businesses.
