By: Morgan Schaeffer “This project will benefit the residents as well as the surrounding community,” said Abbey Delray South executive director, David Randazzo. “These enhancements will distinguish Abbey Delray South from other communities. There’s a great deal of energy and excitement around here.” Randazzo said the gatehouse, façade, and other exterior additions and renovations are a significant neighborhood investment, but the dining enhancements will be the biggest hit with residents. “Food quality and variety is such an important factor for people when they choose where they want to retire,” said Randazzo. “We recognize the emphasis placed on that aspect, and our new culinary experience will exceed expectations. By expanding the kitchen and food prep area, our executive chef and his team will have more space and resources to create incredible meals. We’ll also be introducing new dining venues that include a bistro and a pub, in addition to the main formal dining room. Residents will have more opportunities to socialize while enjoying a wide variety of cuisine.” Both interior and exterior renovations are expected to be finished within one year. The community will remain fully functional during construction, and all services and amenities will be available.
