Workshop for Beginning Digital SLR Photographers to be held at Skidaway Island State Park

April 27, 2012 - PRLog -- A workshop titled Outdoor Photography for Beginning Digital SLR Photographers arrives at Skidaway Island State Park in Savannah that will help new digital SLR photographers demystify camera settings.

Georgia photographer, Jackie DeBusk, who was awarded a 2012 Artist-in-Residence with South Carolina State Parks, will conduct the workshop twice on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Skidaway Island State Park Group Shelter. Choose from either the morning session from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or the afternoon session from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Join DeBusk and allow her to provide technical terms in easy-to-understand language. Within a few hours, participants will become capable of setting exposure, metering, and focus area on their digital SLR cameras, as well as they will learn to apply creative composition principles. Attendees will discover how to set white balance and how to use a histogram, also.

The workshop includes 3 hours of instruction with a visual presentation, hands-on activities, and a booklet to keep. After the workshop, participants head out into the beautiful Savannah park to apply their newfound knowledge and skills.
