Huge Price Drop on HTC Desire S from 21,000 to 15,999

The phone has 1.1GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB. Other features include 1GHz Scorpion processor. With a 3.7 Inch Capacitive Touch Screen and the usual Bells and whistles like 3G, GPS, Wifi, 5MP camera with LED flash, autofocus, 720p HD video recording, and secondary VGA camera etc.. All this at 15990 seems quite a deal.

This phone is comparable to the HTC One V in terms of features. With all the hype around the One Series it is possible that stocks were getting piled up for the older generation of Desire Phones. This phone used to retail at 22,000 till 2 months back and then saw a correction to 18,500 and now to 15,990. Nice move to appeal to the Value conscious Indian customers.

Such huge price drops on premium phones are rarely seen. But of late we have seen a major shake up in the Smartphone category with  HTC and RIM shaking things up in the affordability department. This could be an answer to the Samsung behemoth knocking on their doors.
