NIIAMAR Couture Launches Crowdfunding Campaign To Present Spring 2013 Collection At NY Fashion Week

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 27, 2012 - Fashion designer Niiamar Felder joins the ranks of entrepreneurs seeking ‘angel’ investors on crowd-funding sites like Indiegogo and Kickstarter for business ventures ranging from restaurants to fashion shows.  In September 2012, he will present the NIIAMAR 2013 Spring Collection during Fashion Week in NYC using the funds raised from his crowdfunding campaign.  

Rising costs associated with producing top notch fashion shows is becoming a major hindrance to burgeoning designers like Niiamar, not yet backed by established fashion houses or investors.  Therefore, in an effort to reach ‘Angel’ investors and donors on a global level, Niiamar has opted to use the popular crowdfunding web site Indiegogo.  

In 2008 Niiamar moved to New York City to build his career with the goal of becoming a fashion industry great and contributor to the Arts.  He is quickly gaining notoriety for his awe inspiring collections.  Renowned designer Chanel has always been one of his inspirations.  He says, “The 1920’s-1930’s were a time when women truly dressed up in high quality clothing. My collections are just as chic and timeless. I’d call it nostalgic fashion with modern sensibility.”  

Niiamar’s growing list of accomplishments include:  a feature in EBONY Magazine and the featured designer at the 2011 Women Who Care Luncheon.  As a contestant on Lifetime's "24 Hour Catwalk", Niiamar impressed the panel of celebrity judges with his attention to detail and exceptional design aesthetics.  He has served as Principal Costume Designer for the off Broadway productions of “The Doll Confessions” directed by Tony Award Winner Trezana Beverley and Cole Porter’s “Kiss Me Kate.”

In addition to designing stunning collections each season, Niiamar’s designs have been worn by Hollywood personalities to red carpet events, including the Academy Awards.   He adds, “Expect big things from me during New York Fashion Week.  I plan on releasing a new Couture Collection; expect a black tie affair.
