Larry Bensman Is Appointed 1st President of Milwaukee Society of Financial Awareness

April 26, 2012 - PRLog -- MILWAUKEE—Larry Bensman, an award winning licensed insurance agent, was appointed the first president of the Milwaukee chapter of The Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA) last month.
Bensman is an independent agent specializing in employee benefits, wealth preservation, and retirement planning. He has been a licensed professional for over 30 years and was awarded the Agent of the Year Award by a national insurance company in 2007.
SOFA is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational speakers bureau that provides financial education to companies, churches, synagogues and organizations through seminars and workshops. SOFA has presented for Disney, NASA and FBI, to name a few. Based out of San Diego, SOFA’s mission is to eliminate financial illiteracy. This is their first chapter in Milwaukee.
"I am excited to bring SOFA to the Milwaukee area,” Bensman said. “The Milwaukee chapter will have a variety of licensed professions such as financial advisors, estate planning attorneys and accountants to educate people of the community.  These experts will provide valuable information in the areas of: personal financial needs, retirement planning, investments, tax planning, legal lessons for life, real estate, refinancing & wealth transfer planning.”
With his new SOFA position, Bensman wants to educate and empower individuals to take charge of their personal finances. The workshops are offered at no cost and deliver quality information without soliciting individuals to purchase anything.
“Through financial awareness we can help people of the community and local businesses make sound financial decisions,” Bensman said.  “The sole purpose of providing the SOFA experts is to provide free financial education.  Through educating the community and local businesses I hope to give back to my community and impact their lives to greater prosperity.”
