ASHEVILLE, NC -- TEA Party Republican Candidate Vance Patterson, launched his second commercial this week on television stations across the 11th District. Vance Patterson is a business leader, having created 16 companied in the past 36 years, four of which he still owns and operates. He is one of the eight Republican candidates vying for the Congressional seat currently held by Heath Shuler, who has announced he will not be running for re-election this term.
Vance Patterson will be airing several television commercials that will discuss his platform both on a politically and personally. In the first commercial, Patterson hits hard on the fact that the lack of Jobs and the need of jobs in Western North Carolina is his priority. Patterson is a manufacturer by trade and understands how business is done. He is a believer that we need to have “less government in business and more business leaders in Washington, NOT Career Politicians.”
In the commercial that launched this week, Patterson shares with his viewers that this "job" is not about the money to him, nor is it about getting to Washington and becoming just another politician. It is about making changes in Washington and working for THE PEOPLE of WNC. It is about putting everything you have on the table, risking it ALL for something and for a country that still is AMERICA.

In a recent poll by Magellan Strategies. Vance Patterson surged to the lead in the NC 11th Congressional Race. In one poll, Patterson has a 8% lead over Mark Meadows and more than a 23% lead over one of the other candidates running in this race. Understanding that straw polls, independent polls nor endorsements win elections, Vance Patterson remains very humble and motivated to continue forward in getting his message out to the great people of Western North Carolina.
