April 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Beginning in March, 2012, Curran Associates will begin executing on an agreement with Academy, Research, and Industry Association – IARIA, to compose and make available, print versions of the proceedings from over 70 IARIA conferences. Prior to this agreement, the IARIA proceedings were only available in electronic format.

IARIA is a not-for-profit, non-government organization, whose aim is to promote scientific and industrial interchanges between members of existing associations and standardization bodies, and to establish bridges between different scientific, academic and industrial cultures.

As 2012 begins, more and more technical publishers are partnering with Curran Associates to produce print versions of their electronic-only proceedings. According to John Curran, President of Curran Associates, "While electronic delivery is convenient for many, there are libraries and researchers who still have a need for print." For many years now, Curran Associates has been printing "on-demand" editions of proceedings for societies who no longer find printing to be cost effective. For a complete listing of over 10,000 proceedings titles from more than 500 society publishers, go to Curran’s website, www.proceedings.com.

Curran Associates also manages standing order plans for over 1,200 unique conference titles, and is a valuable resource to many libraries and research institutes around the world.

For nearly 30 years, Curran Associates, Inc. has been focused on marketing and selling conference proceedings to science and technology libraries around the world. The company also has a unique service arm that works with technical and society publishers to offer "on-demand" printing of proceedings that are otherwise only published in electronic format (CD, DVD, USB, or web server). In addition, the company has a global network of sales agents, importers and library suppliers who play a significant role in making printed proceedings available for those who still prefer print.
