DIRECTV originally advertised with The Greensheet in November of last year with 100,000 inserts in Houston and 100,000 in Dallas. After a successful initial run, the company bought a full slate of insert advertising, placing 770,000 inserts throughout the publication’
The inserts serve as an effective complement to the company’s current direct mail sales and marketing strategy. By reinforcing its message in The Greensheet’s pages, DIRECTV hopes to improve exposure and increase the likelihood of sales.
So far, the move has been effective.

DIRECTV’s Texas-wide full-press run is just one success in a string of recent sales achievements for The Greensheet. The company’s sales numbers are on pace to top last year’s by a wide margin (over 8%). The Greensheet has a reputation for outperforming already impressive sales output on a regular basis.
