Lynne Rees was born and grew up in Port Talbot. Her poetry collection, Learning How to Fall, is published by Parthian, she is co-editor of Another Country, Haiku Poetry from Wales (Gomer 2011) and she is currently researching and writing Real Port Talbot, forthcoming from Seren.

She blogs as the hungry writer at www.lynnerees.com on life, food and writing although the food (and the wine) often get in the way of the writing.

The Dylan Thomas Centre is open seven days a week and celebrates Dylan Thomas, Swansea's world famous poet.  

It features a permanent exhibition on Dylan Thomas and his life and is also home to many literary events throughout the year, including the annual Dylan Thomas Festival during October and November.
