The 28th AIDS Walk Los Angeles will be held in October, and online fundraising will go live in May.
"The recent broadway production of HAIR raised money through 'Broadway Fights AIDS,' and we wanted to make sure we were dedicated to a local cause in the same vain" states Director Christopher Chase. Continues Tiffany Oliver (Producer), "We talked at length about which charities to chose, but we're all excited that AIDS Walk LA is our final decision."
theTRIBE has a history of donating profits from their shows; most recently they raised money for the Farrah Fawcett Cancer Foundation with their zany 70's comedy "Love, Sex, and the IRS," and for Goodwill Employment Programs through "Working: the Musical."
Profits from the shows tickets and concessions, as well as donations collected after the show, will be donated in full. So buy a ticket knowing that you're not just getting a night of entertainment:
