PRLog - Apr. 25, 2012 - DALLAS -- Dallas, Texas –The Texas Dietetic Association (TDA) will attend a press conference in support of United Fresh Produce Foundation’s donation of 100 salad bars to Texas schools. “We are honored to support such a wonderful initiative that is entering the school system in Texas.” said Karen Beathard, Registered and Licensed Dietitian and President of Texas Dietetic Association. “Dietitians in this great state of Texas are on the front lines every day in the war against childhood obesity.  We are thrilled to see that the United Fresh Produce Foundation will provide Texas children more fruits and vegetable choices as part of their lunch meal.  We know that repeated exposure to healthy foods is critical to acceptability at a young age, so this will inevitably have a positive lifelong impact on our students.”
