Little Miss Ice Cream Contest returns to Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival

The 38th Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival is eager to announce the Second Annual Little Miss Ice Cream Contest.
 
April 25, 2012 - PRLog -- UTICA, OH – The 38th Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival is eager to announce the Second Annual Little Miss Ice Cream Contest.  Fifteen of the most spirited 6-year-old girls will take the stage on May 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. to find out who is the next Little Miss Ice Cream.  To enter, parents can visit www.VelvetIceCream.com or stop by Velvet Ice Cream’s Ye Olde Mill in Utica or Park National Bank’s Utica Office.  Complete details and entry information for the 2nd Annual Little Miss Ice Cream Contest and the 38th annual Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival are found at www.VelvetIceCream.com.

To be eligible for the Little Miss Ice Cream pageant, contestants must be 6 years old on or before May 26 of 2012 and live in Licking County.  The first 15 girls to enter will be featured in the pageant.  Girls will take the stage and be asked to explain why they should be the next Little Miss Ice Cream, taking part in a two-minute stage interview, which will be scored by, stage presence, interview responses, personality and appearance.

Each contestant will receive a gift for participation.  The 1st and 2nd runners up will receive a $25 gift card to Ye Olde Mill, home of Velvet ice Cream.  The winner will receive a princess ice cream party for eight at Ye Olde Mill and a gift.  The top three scoring contestants will each be crowned with a sparkling tiara, draped with a sash and given a flower bouquet.  Parents with questions may contact Amber Lewis, (740) 892-3221 x 237 or info@velveticecream.com.

Held on the ground of Energy Cooperative and Velvet Ice Cream Company’s Ye Olde Mill, the 2012 Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival is slated for May 26-28, offering three days packed with fun, games and most importantly, Ice Cream.  The festival features an ice cream eating contest, tractor pull, live entertainment, pony rides, border collie sheep herding and more. Admission is free and parking is $5 per car.
