Pam Johnson-Bennett, Certified Cat Behavior Consultant and author of seven best-selling books was honored with the Cat Division Award from the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. The award was given during the IAABC annual convention on April 21, 2012.
Johnson-Bennett is the Founder and Chair of the IAABC Cat Division. She is considered a pioneer in the field of cat behavior consulting and has led the IAABC Cat Division for a number of years. Her “think like a cat” approach to cat behavior and training has been the subject of countless profiles through the years and she has appeared on numerous television and radio shows including CNN and Fox News Channel.
Although the field of cat behavior consulting has become popular in recent years, it was Johnson-Bennett who first paved the way in a profession that was ridiculed at first.
