Conference attendees will celebrate at the conference by hearing Tuesday afternoon’s keynote speaker, Pam Green who is the Vice President of Membership Services for the Society for Human Resource Management or SHRM, the 200,000 member human resource professional association. Other evening celebratory festivities are also planned for members of the Oklahoma HR community.
OKHR Day was announced in March of this year by Oklahoma Secretary of Commerce and Tourism Dave Lopez who was a speaker at the Tulsa Area Human Resource Association March 21st meeting.
“We are honored that the Oklahoma Governor Fallin choose to recognize the human resource profession today. Human resource professionals play an integral role in a business’s success with its most important and valuable asset, their employees,” says OKHR State Council President, Laura Moxley, SPHR.
Oklahoma HR professionals are encouraged to use the #OKHR Twitter hash tag as part of their Oklahoma HR Day celebrations. This is the first known proclamation of its kind by any state in the United States recognizing the human resource profession.
