Rebuilding Together Howard County will be assisting 4 veteran homeowners by providing free repairs homes that will enable the veterans and their families to live in homes that are safe, warm and dry. Over 80 volunteers from Rebuilding Together and Sears will replace broken doors, railings repair bathrooms, paint, landscape and provide other repairs free of charge to the veterans.

Heroes at Home projects are scheduled to be completed in more than80 cities across the country. The projects include renovations for veterans who are unable to live in their current home conditions, due to injuries or obstacles that threaten their avenue to a safe and accessible home.
To date, Sears Holdings has raised over $15 million for Heroes at Home through a nationwide in-store fund-raising campaign. This is one of the hundreds of projects made possible by these donations. Rebuilding Together has completed over 1,100 projects for veteran homeowners across the country. The success of this program is only expected to rise as more projects are completed.
Heroes at Home spring rebuilds will begin in March and conclude in June.
Rebuilding Together Howard County is dedicated to providing low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners free repairs to allow them to live in homes that are warm, safe and dry. Since 1992, Rebuilding Together has provided free home repairs to 600 homeowners in Howard County. All work is done the last Saturday in April with over 850 volunteers.
