Free Self Defense Workshop for Women in Dallas/ Fort Worth Hosted in Midcities on 5/26

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 25, 2012 - Ironside MMA in Bedford, Texas is hosting a free self defense workshop for women on May 26, 2012. Geared for those with little or no martial arts experience, the class is a one day seminar that is two hours long, and includes simple and effective techniques women can use to escape an attacker. The class has limited enrollment to maximize the learning environment.

Class topics include:
   •   practical self defense techniques and concepts
   •   defense from dangerous positions and situations
   •   how to use leverage rather than strength or speed
   •   how to escape a dangerous encounter

"As part of our commitment to community we are pleased to be able to offer this workshop," Coach Sina Hadad said. "The techniques that we use to train champions on the mat can be modified and used to keep women safer. We have a responsibility to our community to get this information out there whenever we can."

Coach Hadad will instruct the workshop. Hadad is a third degree black belt in Judo with 33 years experience and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. He has 7 years Muay Thai boxing experience and over eleven years coaching experience.

Hadad's school, Ironside Martial Arts, is the premiere training school for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and MMA in the midcities area.
